Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research Wins Honorary Commendation for China’s 2023 National Science and Technology Week and Major Demonstration Activities from the Ministry of Science and Technology

Recently, the Office of the National Joint Meeting on Science Popularization and the Department of Science and Technology Talents and Popularization of the Ministry of Science and Technology awarded honorary certificates for China’s 2023 National Science and Technology Week and major demonstration activities, commending units with outstanding performance. Due to its active participation, enthusiastic service and outstanding performance, Tsinghua (Qingdao) Academy of Arts and Science Innovation Research (TASA) was rated as an outstanding unit.

The National Science and Technology Week is an annual event in China's science and technology community, aiming to promote scientific knowledge and improve the scientific quality of the people. During the Week, TASA thoroughly implemented the spirits of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important exposition on scientific and technological innovation and science popularization. Closely focusing on the theme of "Loving Science, Advocating Science" at the Week, a series of science popularization and education activities were held, and multiple exhibition and interactive areas were opened, such as the "Art-Science Integration Achievement Exhibition Area", "Science and Technology Achievements and Popular Science Exhibition Area", and "Science and Technology Interaction Area". The grand scale, rich science and technology atmosphere, and artistic style brought an unprecedented new experience to the visitors. The indoor themed exhibition area interacts precisely with the outdoor interactive exhibition area, displaying themes such as "intelligent manufacturing, high-end equipment, marine technology, aerospace, integration of arts and sciences, and popular science experience", which attracted more than 70 exhibitors in Qingdao who brought hundreds of exhibits of scientific and technological innovation.

The honorary certificate is recognition of the contribution made by TASA to the Week. TASA will take this Week as an opportunity to give full play to Tsinghua University's overall scientific research and talent advantages. Centering on leading industrial upgrading, it will prioritize scientific and technological innovation research, strive to build an independent world-class innovation system, and contribute Tsinghua’s strength to building Qingdao into a modern socialist international metropolis in the new era.
